This week marks the ninth anniversary of Earl Washington’s exoneration in Virginia. Washington was 20 years old when he supposedly confessed to a rape he didn’t commit. He served 19 years in prison – including 13 years on death row – before DNA testing proved his innocence. Read more about his case.
