This week marks the third anniversary of the day Scott Fappiano walked out of a Brooklyn, NY, courthouse a free man for the first time in 21 years. Based on an eyewitness’ misidentification, Fappiano was convicted of a 1985 rape he didn’t commit. He served 21 years in New York prisons before DNA testing ruled him out as the perpetrator.
