On May 1, 2010 the Census Bureau will dispatch thousands of Census Takers to visit households that did not return their Census forms. This critical Census follow-up period will last until July 10, 2010.
Census Takers who conduct home visits will only ask the same ten questions that are on the 2010 Census form, and all Census workers will have official Census Bureau identification.
As with the Census form, all information obtained by Census Takers will be kept completely confidential.
The follow-up period is the last opportunity for those who did not return their Census form to ensure that they are counted in the 2010 Census.
There is still time to return your Census form if you have not yet done so. Otherwise, be sure to cooperate with Census workers when they visit your home.
Be sure to count yourself and empower your community either by mailing your Census form back today or cooperating with Census workers during the follow-up period.
