Danny Brown spent more than 18 years in an Ohio prison for the 1981 murder of his girlfriend before DNA testing proved him innocent and led to his release. His conviction was based on the testimony of the victim’s six-year-old son, who was in the home at the time of the murder. The boy testified that he had seen Brown leave the apartment after an argument with his mother. With assistance from Centurion Ministries, the Innocence Project and his original trial attorney, Brown obtained access to DNA testing. The results that pointed to an incarcerated felon convicted of a similar killing in 1983. Brown was officially exonerated and released 9 years ago this week.
