Greetings, Eric,

I'm trying to reach you to ask a question about our mutual years at the New York Times, but I can't locate a current email address. Would you be so kind as to send one along to fenton@fentonjohnson.com? Many thanks. Incidentally, I enjoy coming across your work in my occasional research forays.

Ms Gioavanni's response is very interesting.

I've long admired her work...when I encounter it.

I am not a 'poetry person'.

As for a canon on African America, it occurs to me that the compilation done at Harvard University, Dr. Gates, and others would be, at least, a good place to start.
